The Rhodes boys took on the Emory Eagles today in a highly anticipated matchup. Senior starter Nick Ferazzi took the mound for the Lynx and tossed an exemplary four innings, allowing only 1 run on a solo HR in the second, while tallying eight strikeouts, one of which came on a blistering 96 mph fastball. 

Emory starter Aaron Mishoulam had the Lynx' number the first time through the lineup, allowing no runs through four innings, but the bats exploded in the top of the fifth with the Lynx putting up 5 runs on hits from Dante Messina, John McNair, and Wood Kimbrough. 

The Lynx weren't done yet though, they put up three more runs on a single from Chris Penna in the 6th, a SAC fly by Malcolm Rohlfing, and a double by Peter York, both in the 7th. 

The Rhodes pitching staff was absolutely dominant. After Ferazzi's 4 innings, Andy Hanaway, John Fears, Thomas Lemaster, and Brett Bokleman combined for 5 innings, 0 runs, 3 hits, and 6 strikeouts, keeping the Eagles to a lone run. 

The Lynx are preparing to get back in action tomorrow against the hosting Huntingdon Hawks in their second game of the weekend.
