Box Score Last night, the Lynx men's basketball team traveled to Jackson, Mississippi to take on the Blazers of Belhaven. This division 3 non-conference matchup was the first game of the season for the Lynx, and a huge test as well.

The Lynx brought the energy, and gave the Blazers a game. Rhodes kept it close, but were down 11 at halftime, 26-37. Despite a good fight in the 2nd half, the Lynx were defeated by the Blazers 70-85. 13 players saw action in this game, but sophomore Phil Dotson led the team in points and assists, with 25 and 6 respectively. Zavien Williams led the team in rebounds, with 9. Hayden Lamey also had a strong showing, with 17 points and 2 steals.

Although this was a tough loss for the Lynx, there were many positives to look forward to. Rhodes crushed Belhaven in the fast break points statline, outscoring Belhaven 18-11. Rhodes also posted 28 points from the paint, and scored 23 points off the bench.

The Lynx remain on the road and will play at Colorado College this Sunday the 12th before opening home play at th Rhodes Classic on November 18th and 19th.
