MOUNT BERRY, Ga. (April 16, 2022) - The Rhodes Lynx struggled to find their offense for the second straight game as they fell to the Berry Vikings 10-0 on Saturday. The loss moves Rhodes to 21-14-1 on the season, and 11-7 in SAA play.
Berry took the lead in the first inning with a double, single, and a double, followed by two RBI groundouts. They would then add another in the second to go up 4-0. The Lynx didn't pick up their first hit until the top of the fourth when
Dante Messina singled. They only managed two other hits on the day, with Messina adding a second single in the sixth and
Ben Wilson collecting a knock in the seventh. The game was called after the top of the 7th due to mercy rule as Berry won 10-0.Â
Rhodes has one more SAA series before the playoffs. They will host Hendrix at Stauffer Field next Friday and Saturday.Â
