SAA Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Jalen Essick / Rhodes / Senior / Tucker, Ga.

Averaging a near double-double, Essick came up big in a pair of Rhodes wins over the weekend. Against Belhaven, the senior put up 24 points and 11 rebounds, shooting an efficient 9-of-14 from the field. Two days later against Spalding, Essick again netted 24 points to go along with four rebounds and an assist while shooting 9-of-13 from the floor. For the week, he averaged 24 points and 7.5 rebounds while shooting 67 percent from the field.
