Rhodes College men's lacrosse had a pair of first year's sweep the final round of SAA Player of the Week honors, as announced by the Southern Athletic Association on Monday, April 19, 2021.

Ethan Frischhertz (Austin, Texas) has earned his first career weekly conference player of the week honor after being named the SAA Defensive Player of the Week. He scooped up a career-high nine ground balls and tallied at least two caused turnovers in Rhodes' 17-10 victory over Hendrix this past weekend. Frischhertz was a defensive force for the Lynx and was critical in Rhodes' offensive transition game, as the Lynx went 13-17 in clears. 

Matt Leone (Madison, N.J.) has earned his second SAA Offensive Player of the Week honor this season. He led the game on Saturday with four goals on six shots. Leone scored the game-winner and also tallied a ground ball.

Rhodes opens the SAA Tournament in Danville, Ky. on Friday night. Their first semifinal game will take place at 4 p.m. ET as the Lynx take on third seeded Birmingham-Southern College.
