Making it onto the board two minutes into the contest, the Warriors are only the second opponent that has been allowed to score first this season. The Lynx bounced back quickly when junior
Aidan Pike connected with the back of the net less than 30 seconds later. Teammate
Payton Bennett was right on her heels, following with Rhodes' second goal just seconds later. Hendrix would take advantage of another free position shot in the 12th minute putting them at a 9-2 deficit. The Lynx would go on to record 17 more goals in the half by six different scorers.
Going into halftime with a 19-2 lead, the Lynx made quick work of adding to their total when junior
Baylee Barker notched her sixth goal of the game a mere two and a half minutes after the whistle. Just over a minute later,
Carina Wesker kept the score climbing when her free position shot zipped past the Warrior goalie to widen the gap. Seconds shy of four minutes into the second half, Hendrix snuck one in, bringing the score to a humble 21-3. First year
Sierra Anderson became the eighth Lynx to hop on the scoreboard with an assist from Barker. Slowing down their pace after a goal in the 11th minute of the half, the Lynx would go over 10 minutes without scoring. With an assist from Bennett, her sixth of the game, senior
KK Mulholland found the back of the net climbing to a 24-3 score.
After keeping the Lynx at bay for four minutes, the Warriors would secure their final point after a successful free position shot with five minutes left to go. The Lynx would go on to tally two more points, finishing 26-4.
With 100% participation, every Lynx got in on the action today. Bennett led the way with 11Â points after tallying five goals and six assists. Teammate
Baylee Barker led the Lynx in scoring with six goals. The junior attacker added seven more draw controls to her growing conference and program records.
