Memphis - Rhodes College men's lacrosse fell behind early in what will now be their final home game of the season. Centre College scored the first four goals of the game on their way to the 8-5 victory, earning the 2021 Southern Athletic Association regular season title.
Centre went ahead 3-0 after the first quarter before senior
Isaiah Pratt dodged several Colonels before flipping the ball into the net four minutes into the second quarter. A minute later the Colonels took a 5-1 lead before Rhodes scored back-to-back goals to end the half with a two-goal deficit.Â
Centre scored the only two goals of the third quarter to lead 7-3. The Lynx tried to mount the comeback with a 2-1 goal advantage in the fourth quarter before running out of time.Â
Overall Rhodes was assessed five of the six penalties in the game with the Colonels taking advantage of one of those man-up opportunities. Centre dominated the faceoffs, winning 17 of 20.Â

Ryan Dancy,
Tyler Pellegrino,
Andrew Lempner and
Sammy Carter scored a goal. Carter scored the final goal of the game with the Lynx a man down.
Brendan Roberts made 14 saves in the game.
Rhodes will finish the regular season on Saturday at Hendrix.
