Memphis - Rhodes College men's basketball took on the Hendrix College Warriors Saturday evening in Mallory Gymnasium. The Warriors shot the ball more efficiently from the field and downtown which was enough to lead them to a 106-82 victory.

Hendrix came out of the gates firing on all cylinders as they went on an impressive 11-0 scoring run to open the game. The Lynx fought their way back to take the lead with a Koki Wiley layup with 12:43 remaining in the first half. The following few minutes were back-and-forth, but the Warriors went on a few scoring runs to go into the half up 19 points (52-33).

Hendrix shot more efficiently in the first half as they shot 59 percent (17-of-29) from the field and 67 percent from downtown (8-of-12). The Lynx were held to a 39 shooting percentage from the field (12-of-31) and 22 percent from three (2-of-9).

The Warriors took control in the second half as they extended their lead to 40 points with 6:44 remaining in the contest. Rhodes went on a few scoring runs at the end of the ballgame, but the closest they came to the league was 22 points. Hendrix went on to take the 106-82 victory. 

Jake Nestlehutt and Wiley were the only two Lynx to record double digit points. Nestlehutt led the way with 19 with Wiley following with 12. Wiley was able to tack on four assists to his stat line as well.

The Lynx were out rebounded 35-28 in the contest. 

Rhodes will open their SAA Conference Tournament play on Sun., Feb. 23rd. as they take on Centre College.
