Box Score 2 Mount Berry, Ga. - Rhodes College volleyball saw their three-game win streak come to an end Friday night with losses to Endicott and Transylvania at the Berry National Tournament.
Endicott
Rhodes dropped the first set against Endicott 25-19 before scoring the first four points of the second set. The Lynx held an 18-12 lead before Endicott scored four straight to pull within two. A four-point run gave the Lynx breathing room on their way to the 25-18 win to tie the match. Rhodes trailed by four in the third set before Endicott went on a nine-point run to break open the game. Gabrielle White cut Endicott's lead to one (19-18) in the fourth set. A 5-3 run for Endicott finished the game.
White finished the game with seven kills on nine attempts for a .667 hitting average. Senior
Heather Antrim led the Lynx with 10 kills while White, Antrim and freshman
Rachel Sullivan each tallied four block assists.
Mary Frances Daniel led the game with 25 digs.
Transylvania
In the nightcap, Rhodes succumbed to the Pioneers 25-13, 25-16, 25-6. The Lynx were led by freshman
Annie Entz with six kills,
Sarah Nieland with 11 assists and Daniel with 10 digs.
Rhodes will face Transy Saturday at 3 p.m. ET in a rematch before taking on Covenant for the second time this season as well.
