Memphis – Rhodes College and Christian Brothers University (CBU) went head to head on CBU's home field on a balmy Wednesday night.

CBU came out firing in the first half. The Buccaneers put several early shots on goal forcing Will Birka-White to make some crucial saves to keep CBU out of the goal. Jaimin Patel came in for Birka-White midway through the half. The two keepers combined for seven saves in the first half. CBU found their opening goal in the 32nd minute.

The second half was characterized by more pressure from CBU. They probed and tested the Rhodes defense swinging the ball from side to side and keeping the ball. Rhodes was not able to withstand the consistent pressure and conceded a second goal in the 59th minute. Rhodes got on the ball more and possessed in response. Unfortunately for the Lynx, they gave up two late goals in the 88th and 89th minutes.

Rhodes College will face off against the University of the Ozarks at home on Saturday at 2 p.m., hoping to snap their streak of tough losses.
