Dickson, Tenn. - The No. 6 ranked Rhodes College women's golf team shot a strong final round of 305 to secure the 2019 Southern Athletic Association Championship Sunday afternoon.
Leading the team for the third day in a row was senior
Emily Salamy whose final round of 75 clinched her individual victory. She was also named first team All-SAA and was deemed SAA Player of the Year.
Freshman
Susan Morris' final round of 74 was the low round of the day and earned her a second place individual finish. She also was awarded the SAA Newcomer if the Year in addition to her first team All-SAA nod.
Sophomore
Annie Paris finished tied for 8th individually with a final round of 78. She was named to second team All-SAA.
Sophomore
Tabitha Diehl shot 83 and was named to first team all-conference while senior
Melissa Kiker shot 79. Individually,
Mary Melissa Manuel shot 79 to finish tied for 12th, her highest finish of the season.
The Lynx have secured a spot in the NCAA National Championship May 14-17 at Bay Oakes Country Club in Houston, Texas. They will be competing for their fourth national championship. Rhodes won the NCAA Division III Championships in 2014, 2016 and 2017.
