Lynx Record Season-High Passing Yardage Against Centre

Memphis - Rhodes football scored on their opening drive before Centre closed the first half on three touchdowns to open the game. The Colonels went on to defeat the Lynx 42-27.

HIGHLIGHTS
• Rhodes won the coin toss and after electing to receive the ball, the Lynx scored on their opening drive. During the drive and facing second and 17, quarterback Jace Franklin found Ethan Chamberlin for an 18-yard completion. A false start put Rhodes at second and 20 before Franklin found freshman Luke Gerzon for a 24-yard touchdown reception, his first career touchdown.
• Centre responded with back-to-back touchdowns including a 76-yard punt return for a touchdown.
• Rhodes missed a field goal in the second quarter, but on Centre's next possession, Brycen Brown intercepted a Colonel pass and ran it back 15 yards for a pick-six to tie the game (14-14). 
• Centre would go on to take a 35-14 lead until Franklin and Chamberlin connected for a 10-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter. 
• Rhodes' final scoring came on a Mitch Batschelett two-yard rush after the Lynx went 89 yards on the drive. It was the final scoring play of the game, and the only points scored in the fourth quarter.

STATISTICAL SPOTLIGHTS
• Twenty-seven points is the highest scoring game for the Lynx offense this year, which included four touchdowns.
• Franklin threw for 238 yards, a career-high for the junior and a season-high for the Lynx.
• Andrew Herring made four catches for 71 yards including a 32-yard reception. Stephan Jean-Francois led the running game with 73 net yards on 13 rushes. His longest of the day was 26 yards.
• Connor Mitchell recorded a Lynx-high nine tackles.
• Centre's Andre Evans totaled 23 tackles while the Colonels threw for 277 yards and totaled 189 net rushing yards.
