Sewanee, Tenn. - Rhodes men's basketball fell to a tough Sewanee squad Sunday afternoon 69-54. Converting their sixth win in a row, the Tigers are now 13-1 on the year while Rhodes falls to 3-11 overall.

With the Lynx trailing 29-21, Sewanee closed out the first half on an eight-point run. The Tigers' layup to open the second half gave them an 18-point lead. During a four minute span, the teams combined for seven made three-pointers, all from different players with two of those coming from the Lynx. Sewanee's largest advantage came with six minutes to play when the Tigers took a 28-point lead (65-37).

Rhodes went on an 11-2 run, securing nine points off three treys, all from different players (
Tyler Guest,
Jake Nestlehutt,
Mitch Weatherford).

The Lynx forced 20 turnovers, but Sewanee's hot shooting (49.1%) and 45-21 rebounding advantage carried them to their 13
th win.

For the Lynx, freshman
Kevin Shen produced nine points, followed by Weatherford and
Bryce Berry with seven each.
Owen Galvin led Rhodes with four boards. Nestlehutt sank his only two shot attempts, both from behind the arc.

The Lynx return to Memphis to host Birmingham-Southern on Friday, Jan. 11
th. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. Rhodes will also be hosting Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night, set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
