Murfreesboro, Tenn. - Rhodes College women's tennis fell to No. 2-seeded Millsaps College Friday morning in the opening round of the 2018 Southern Athletic Association Tournament. Regionally, Millsaps is ranked ninth.

Rhodes succumbed 5-1 to the Majors after the lynx pulled out a big victory at No. 1-doubles. 

Dasha Safarian and Caroline Doherty took down their conference opponents 8-6. The duo got the upper hand against Grace Gaskins and partner Jillian Sandoz after the Lynx pair fell 8-4 to Gaskins and Ashley Ford during the regular season.

During the regular season Safarian and Doherty teamed up to go 3-3 against conference competition in the top doubles position.

The Lynx finish the year with wins over Hendrix College, Belhaven University and Elizabethtown College.
