Murfreesboro, Tenn. - Rhodes men's tennis kept fans in suspense on Twitter during their opening game of the 2018 Southern Athletic Association Tournament.
After No. 5-seeded Oglethorpe went up 2-1 after doubles, the No. 4-seeded Lynx went up 3-0 in singles before the second, third and fourth positions went into third-set tie-breakers. The Stormy Petrels won in the third and fourth positions but with the game tied 5-5 in the third set,
P.J. Shaw came up with the clutch decision by earning the final two points in the second singles slot.
The Lynx will now take on No. 1-seeded Sewanee Saturday at 2 p.m.
