Kissimmee, Fla. - Rhodes softball came up short in spring break on the third day of action as they fell to Westminster (PA) 5-3 in game one and suffered a 9-1 loss against Misericordia in five innings. The two losses drop the Lynx to 11-5 on the season.
Westminster secured a 5-0 advantage before the Lynx tallied their first run in the bottom of the fifth before crossing two more in the seventh after a
Katelynn Bresler double to left center.
Bri Maniscalco threw seven strikeouts across the game while Rohrer fanned 12 Lynx.
Misericordia punched in five runs in the first inning on their way to a 7-0 lead. Rhodes avoided the shutout after
Jill Healy doubled to lead off the fifth. She ran home on
Marisa Moore's groundout to the shortstop.
Rhodes will play their final two games in Florida on Saturday when they take on Washington College at 9 a.m. ET followed by Centenary at 1:30 p.m. ET.
