Memphis - Rhodes College softball couldn't get past the Millsaps College defense as they got shut out 3-0 Sunday afternoon and fall to 8-2 on the season. 

Rhodes was held to just two hits on the day as Cassidy Denoon earned her second win of the weekend. She only struck out two Lynx, but her defense tallied 17 putouts at first base, with five assists from Lindsey Osbon at third base and five assists from Kendall Carder at shortstop. 

The Lynx began the game with a double play on the second Major who tried to lay a sacrifice bunt. Instead, she fouled up to Kendall Henry right behind the plate who lasered back to first base for two outs. 

Olivia Jackson doubled in the game, stole and base and earned a sacrifice bunt. Bri Maniscalco struck out four batters across six innings while Allison Long struck out one Major in her one inning of work. 

The Lynx are travelling to Florida for eight games beginning with John Carroll on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. ET.
