Mount Berry, Ga. - Rhodes College men's tennis defeated Berry College 5-4 Friday morning.
The Lynx took two doubles and three singles from the Vikings. Up 2-1, Ritwick Chatterjee won No. 1-singles 6-2, 6-1 after which
Phil Lauture took down his opponent 6-3, 6-3 at in the No. 5 slot before Clay Jones took No. 6-singles for Berry over
Wesley Tolsdorf. Tolsdorf won his first set 6-2 before Jones came back. Rhodes led 4-2 when
Andrew Morton came-from-behind to win No. 3-singles and seal the victory for the Lynx. Morton fell 6-1 before overtaking his opponent 6-2, 6-3.
Berry won No. 4 and No. 2 singles in three sets, both of which went to seven points in the second set.
Rhodes will play at Oglethorpe Saturday around 1 p.m. EST.
