Georgia - Rhodes women's lacrosse won their third game in a row after defeating Methodist University 19-3 on the campus of Piedmont College Sunday. Rhodes is now 9-3 on the season.
Olivia Holmes opened scoring and netted the first two goals of the game just 14 seconds apart. Her teammate
Kendall Cunningham also netted two in a row rather quickly, this time in 19 seconds to give Rhodes a 5-0 lead on their way to a 16-0 first half.
Thirty turnovers doomed Methodist who is now 5-6 on the year. The Lynx recorded a 37-11 shot advantage as well as a 14-9 draw control lead.
Cunningham finished with five goals and two assists to lead the Lynx offense.
Maggie Rippeto tallied six points as she and Holmes recorded four goals in the game.
Rhodes was supposed to host BSC in a non-conference game this Thursday, but that has been cancelled. The Lynx will therefore take almost two weeks before returning to action at Hendrix College on Saturday, April 7th.
