Memphis - After Sewanee scored the first goal on a bounce shot, the Lynx answered with six straight goals and led 11-2 at halftime. Ashley Doyle earned the first goal of the season for Rhodes women's lacrosse and led the Lynx with seven draw controls.

Rhodes out-shot Sewanee 23-9 in the first half and 35-18 in the game. The Lynx missed just two clears on 23 attempts. Maggie Rippeto led the home squad with four goals and four assists while Doyle also netted four goals. Kendall Cunningham scored a game-high five goals and Olivia Holmes tallied the eventual game-winner with 3:29 left in the first half.  

Sewanee finished the game with the last three goals. 

Rhodes' first game on the road is this weekend at Berry on Saturday before they return home the very next day to play their first non-conference matchup against Augustana College at 3 p.m.
