Whittier, Calif. - Rhodes College men's basketball has dropped their first two games over Thanksgiving break. The Lynx fell to Occidental 91-66 to open their trip on Wednesday before suffering a 94-66 loss to Whittier College on Friday. Rhodes is now 2-4 on the year.

The Lynx fell behind early in the first half, tallying just 28 points against the Tigers. Ten of those came from senior
Daniel Darst who scored both three point attempts during the half, on his way to a Lynx-high 14 points going six-of-10 on the day with four rebounds, two assists and a block. Freshman
Kevin Shen scored 10 points while senior
Vaughn Samson led the Lynx with five rebounds.
Whittier
Another slow start had Rhodes trailing 48-21 at halftime against the Poets. Rhodes' top scorers included a career-high from Shen with 20 points as well as 10 points from
Owen Galvin. Both came off the bench for the Lynx and combined to go five-of-seven from three-point range. In the game, Whittier out-rebounded the Lynx 63-26 and shot 51.5% in the field, compared to Rhodes' 28.4 field goal percentage.
Rhodes will complete their California trip with a neutral-site matchup against Chapman. The game will take place on Whittier's campus at 12 p.m. PST with
