Columbus, Miss. - Rhodes College volleyball swept a non-conference contest against Mississippi University for Women (MUW) 25-16, 25-16, 25-21 Tuesday night. The win ends a four-game losing streak for the Lynx who improve to 11-9 on the season. 

Leading 14-13, Rhodes secured six unanswered points including three straight aces by Kelsey Glasper to take a 20-13 lead, catapulting the Lynx to their first set victory.  Rhodes jumped out to an 8-2 lead in the second set until they again led 20-13, closing out the set on a 3-1 run. The Lynx hit a set-best .480 with 13 kills on 25 attempts to move to 2-0 on the night. In the final set, Rhodes led 18-3 until the Owls went on a 4-1 run to pull within two however MUW wouldn't get any closer, as Rhodes finished the sweep with a 25-21 win. 

Rhodes led all categories in the game, securing nine kills (Camila Zimmerman), five service aces (Glasper), 17 digs (Mary Frances Daniel), 18 assists (Marissa Hall) and three blocks (Morgan Hill). Glasper also recorded 13 digs while Hill tallied a .462 hitting percentage with six kills on 13 attacks.

Rhodes will travel to Berry and Oglethorpe this weekend, taking on the Vikings on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET, followed by the Stormy Petrels on Sunday, also at 1 p.m. ET.
