MEMPHIS - The Rhodes College women's lacrosse team made it 14 consecutive wins while moves to 5-0 in SAA play as they rolled the Hendrix Warriors to a 25-4 victory on Saturday afternoon at Mason Field.
The Lynx out shot the Warriors 43-16 and forced them into 21 turnovers. Rhodes picked up 26 ground balls and won 23 of the 30 draw controls.Â
It was an offensive explosion for Rhodes as they scored 10 goals in less than seven minutes with junior
Kendall Cunningham scoring four goals in that span. The Lynx would score 19 goals in the first half to take a 19-1 lead at the break.
As the entire bench was emptied late in the first half and throughout the second half, Rhodes continued their dominance as they rolled to the 25-4 win, now out scoring their opponents 120-22 in conference play and 304-70 overall. Rhodes is No. 1 in the nation in scoring offense.
Cunningham, the nation's leader in goals and points, finished with seven points including six goals and an assist. Junior
Maggie Rippeto, who is tied for first with Cunningham in points, finished with eight points with three goals and five assists.Â

Rhodes is now 14-0 overall and 5-0 in conference play. They can clinch at least a share of the regular season conference title next week with a win over Centre on Senior Day next Saturday at 1 PM. The two teams met in the conference championship last season with Rhodes claiming an 8-7 win in Danville.
