SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Rhodes College softball team scored 27 runs on 32 hits as they blew out the Sewanee Tigers by the score of 10-0 (5) and 17-7 (5) as they already clinch the three game series.
Rhodes just out to a 1-0 lead thanks to a RBI from sophomore
Kendall Henry and moved that lead out to 5-0 in the second as freshman Anna Kila and senior Chirstine Hume each drove in a run followed by a two RBI double from sophomore
Katelynn Bresler.
The lead reached 6-0 on a RBI single from junior
Caroline Sutton before a four run fourth inning put the Lynx up by 10. Hume would homer to left center to score two while Sutton picked up another RBI.
Sophomore Bri Manisclaco was terrific, pitching five complete and striking out five batters while only allowing three hits.
Offensively, Hume finished 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored, and three RBIs while Kula also had a three hit game with a triple, two run scored, and a RBI. Bresler was 3-for-3 with a double two RBIs and a run scored while Sutton had two hits and drove in two.

Olivia Jackson each had a run scored.
In the second game, Rhodes opened the first with an eight run outburst. Hume tripled home two while Henry scored Hume with a double. Bresler drove in three runs with the bases loaded with a double while Rath and Henry, again in the same inning, each drove in a run.
Sewanee responded with three in the first, but Rhodes kept their foot on the gas pedal as Bresler hit a solo shot while Rath singled in a run and later scored to make it 11-3.
RBIs in the third inning, including a two run bomb from sophomore
Karrah Flores and RBIs from Henry and Rath made it 15-3, while Hume's second home run in as many games in the fourth made it 17-3.
Sewanee closed the gap to a 10 run deficit, but it wasn't enough as the Lynx closed the game for the win.
Junior
Allison Long earned the win, allowing seven runs on eight hits and striking out one in five complete.
Offensively, Hume finished 3-for-4 with a home run and two triples while driving in four and scoring three times. Bresler also drove in four and scored twice including a double while Rath had a career day, going 4-for-4 with a double, three RBIs, and two runs scored.
Henry was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs while Flores was 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs. Jackson had a pair of hits including a triple while Healy, Flores, and Henry all scored two runs.
Rhodes moves to 18-12 overall and maintains third in the SAA standings with a 6-2 record. Rhodes will look to complete the sweep over the Tigers tomorrow afternoon as they set to do battle at 12 PM, weather permitting.Â
