MEMPHIS - The Rhodes College baseball team gave up a run in the eighth and a run in the ninth as they fell to the Webster Gorloks, 5-3, on Friday afternoon at Stauffer Field.
Rhodes finished with three runs on five hits and a pair of errors while Webster finished with five runs to go with 10 hits and two hours.

Nick Bosma. After Webster tied it at one in the third, Rhodes put themselves ahead 3-1 as senior
Ryan Olive hit a two run bomb in the bottom of third.
Webster responded with a two run home run in the top of the fourth to tie it at three. After three innings of scoreless ball, Webster took advantage of a Lynx error in the eighth and tacked on an insurance run in the ninth for a 5-3 lead.
Senior
Blake Glauben pitched six complete, striking out six while walking two and allowing three runs. Junior
Nick Ferngren took the loss in relief, allowing one earned run on four hits.
Olive went 1-for-4 with the two run home run while Bosma was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored. Winter and freshman
Paul Giacomazzi each had a hit while sophomore
Brady John and Giacomazzi each had a stolen base.
Rhodes moves to 4-4 on the young season and will return to Stauffer Field tomorrow as they take on Greenville at 2 PM.
