MEMPHIS - Rhodes quickly turned a slow start into a decisive victory to open the weekend with a 68-26 win over Agnes Scott College.
With a 14-10 lead after the first quarter, the Lynx held the Scotties to single digits over each of the next three quarters, allowing just four points in the second and third rounds and eight points in the final frame.
Rhodes scored 24 points in the third quarter, their highest of the game.
The Lynx spread the wealth in the Friday night contest, as freshman
Caroline Taylor earned a career-high 12 points on the night. She also recorded four assists. Junior
Danielle Summers tallied four assists and four steals in the win while
Moriah Muhammad's eight rebounds was a team high for the Lynx.
Rhodes held the Scotties to their lowest points of the season. The Lynx made sure to double and triple team Garis Grant, but the forward still recorded a double double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Rhodes hosts Hendrix College and Agnes Scott at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 2nd before playing Maryville College at 4 p.m.
