Lynx succumb to Oglethorpe in four sets

Memphis - After taking the first set 25-23, Rhodes volleyball fell victim to an energetic Oglethorpe University squad in the ensuing three sets to fall to 9-9 overall and 4-6 in conference.

The win was the first conference victory for the Stormy Petrels who also broke a 13-game losing streak. 

Rhodes rotated all dressed players in the match. Heather Antrim was the most successful on the day, playing in two sets and tallying five block assists as she hit .364 out of the right side which included five kills on 11 attempts. At her side for most of those blocks was Morgan Hill, whose totals on the day included one solo block and five block assists as well as seven kills. Leading in total kills on the day for Rhodes was Elasha Williams with 10 kills. 

Liberos rotated as well. Mary Frances Daniel played the first and fourth sets while Tieren Burrows started set two and Sophia Quesada the third set. Williams led the team with 16 digs but setter Hannah McCarty and outside hitter Katherine Bolyard both recorded 14 digs. 

Rhodes will travel to Sewanee and Centre this weekend over Fall Break followed by another road trip the following weekend to Birmingham-Southern and Millsaps to close out hte regular season at home over Homecoming weekend.
