Box Score Memphis - Rhodes College women's soccer is now 2-1 in conference play after defeating Berry College 3-0 Friday afternoon. 

The Lynx received the game winner from Rachel Giampapa, her third of the year, after defender Carly Cone slipped a pass up the middle from 10 yards outside the top of the box. 

Rhodes' second goal was on a give-and-go play. Brenna Katz received the ball on a throw-in and dribbled to the middle of the field where she passed to Aly Hoyt. Hoyt one-touched the ball to Sydnie Schindler who was about five yards away. Schindler one-touched the ball back to Hoyt who had broken up-field and placed the ball into the back of the net with the side of her foot. 

The Lynx capped off their third goal of the game when Hoyt sent a corner kick into the box which found Molly Litten who headed the ball down for her second goal of the year. 

Rhodes pressured the Vikings with 20 shots and had multiple near misses while Berry goalkeeper Jackie McGivney saved seven shots. Anna Maldonado picked up her fifth win of the year with two saves. Meghan Kiker also received time in goal for the Lynx. Recording a defensive save in the game and helping her teammates ensure the shutout was Sara Scherer who cleared out a ball near the post after Berry's Samantha Schoppy collected the ball out of a scrum in the box.

Rhodes will next host Oglethorpe on Sunday at noon.
