Conway, Ark. - Rhodes volleyball took to the road Wednesday for a mid-week matchup at Hendrix College tonight. The Lynx suffered a 3-0 loss to fall to 9-7 overall and are now 4-4 in conference. Hendrix is also now 4- 4 in SAA play.
Rhodes started off with a 6-4 lead before Hendrix went on a seven point run to maintain the lead for the rest of the first set. Hendrix went for the set-point, leading 24-16 when the Lynx refused to give up, scoring three points including two kills by right-side hitter

During the second set, the Lynx once again held a marginal 7-5 lead before the Warriors took an 11-7 advantage. This time, Rhodes came back to score five straight points and tie the game 18-18. Hendrix managed to secure the second set with a 25-22 edge.
Hendrix secured the sweep on a 25-21 win after leading by an average of three to four points the entire set.
Emily Korba came into the game in the third set and rocked the right side of the Lynx offense. Korba recorded four kills on five attempts trying to force a fourth set. Junior
Hannah McCarty assisted 17 times during the game, playing all three sets. Freshman
Mary Frances Daniel took to the libero roll for the first and third sets, recording a team-high 14 digs while fellow classmate
Kelsey Glasper tallied 11 digs.
Rhodes struggled at the net, hitting .085. The team recorded only three blocks on the day and average 2.08 per set.
The Lynx are at home this weekend to host Berry College on Saturday at 2 p.m. followed by Oglethorpe on Sunday at 1 p.m.
