Elsah, Ill. - A total of 700 runners competed at the Principia College Cowbell Classic, or Pre-Nationals, in the largest event ever hosted by the Panthers. Principia will host the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship in November. 

Members of the Rhodes College women's team participated in the event, getting a feel for the course. The team finished 19th of 36 teams.

Ashley Litoff led the Lynx, finishing 17th of 332 runners  in a time of 22:03.67. The rest of the Lynx finished in the following order: Abby Watkins, Elise Moix, Reagan Alley, Ellery Hayden, Lauren Roberts and Leda St Cyr.

Rhodes will continue to train until the Southern Athletic Association Championship meet, hosted by Oglethorpe University at Nash Farm Battlefield on October 28th.
