MEMPHIS - Senior
Morgan Fuller scored game winning goal with 1:54 to play to lead the Rhodes College women's lacrosse team to a huge 9-8 victory over the Oberlin College Yeomen on Wednesday afternoon at Mason Field.
In a back-and-forth, tightly contested game, the Lynx outshot the Yeo by the slimmest of margins, 20-19, while Oberlin held a 17-16 advantage in shots on goal. Rhodes had 20 turnovers to Oberlin's 19 while the Lynx picked up 10 of 16 draw controls.
Oberlin went up 1-0 as they scored the first goal two minutes into the first half. The Lynx responded by scoring four straight goals in a 10 minute span. Sophomore
Ashley Doyle evened the game up and followed that up by assisting on a goal to junior
Ashley Dill for the lead.
Senior

Annika Hedlund made it a 4-1 game on back-to-back goals. The Yeo got a goal back to cut the deficit to two, but sophomore
Maggie Rippeto scored at the midway point of the half to give Rhodes a 5-2 lead.
After another Oberlin goal, Dill connected on her second goal of the half with 2:21 to play to take a 6-3 lead into the break.
The Yeo began their comeback, scoring two straight goals in the second half to cut it to 6-5. Fuller would score her second goal of the game to push Rhodes ahead 7-5, but Oberlin got another one with 14:55 to go to make it a one goal game again.
Fuller found junior
Lindsay Gess who put away her first goal of the game to go ahead 8-6. However, Oberlin scored two goals to tie the game at eight with 8:30 to go in the contest.
Sophomore
Katherine Tooley came away with some big saves late in the contest to keep the game tied while defensively, Rhodes got strong play from sophomore

Dylan Craddock, and freshman

Sophomore
Kendall Cunningham and Gess forced a huge turnover in Oberlin territory late in the game to give Rhodes possession. Fuller would take it from there with under two minutes remaining, racing through the middle of the defense and firing home to give Rhodes a 9-8 lead.
On the following draw control, Cunningham beat her defender to come away with the DC as the Lynx used ball movement to run out the clock and earn the huge victory over last year's NCAC runner up.
Fuller led the attack with three goals, one assist, two ground balls, and a caused turnover while Dill added two goals and two draw controls. Doyle added a goal and two assists to go with three ground balls while sophomore
Olivia Holmes added the only other assist. Cunningham was big on the draw, coming away with four draw controls.
Defensively, Windmueller and Craddock each came away with two caused turnovers while Rippeto and sophomore
Elizabeth Lewis each had a caused turnovers and three ground balls. Tooley finished with nine saves on the afternoon.
Rhodes has a quick turnaround as they are back in action tomorrow afternoon as they will welcome in the New Paltz Hawks. Start time is scheduled for 4 PM from Mason Field.
