DANVILLE, Ky. - The Rhodes College softball team could not get the bats going on Saturday afternoon as they dropped two Southern Athletic Association contest to the Centre Colonels, 4-3 and 4-1.
The Lynx got on the board first in first game as a double steal attempt resulted in freshman
Katelynn Bresler being thrown out, but scored freshman
Haley Rath for the 1-0 lead in the second inning.
Centre scored two in the bottom of the third, but freshman
Jill Healy tied things up in the fourth inning with a RBI single to left.
However, the Colonals scored two more runs in the fifth to move ahead 4-2. Rhodes would get on back in the seventh off a safety squeeze from senior
Erin Parker, but it would not enough as the Lynx fell short in game one.

Caroline Reilly pitched an innning of scoreless ball, allowing only one hit.
Healy finished 2-for-3 with a double, a RBI, and a run scored while junior
Christine Hume added a 1-for-4 day with a double. Freshman

Rachel Pewitt, freshman
Karrah Flores, and Bresler all had a hit in the first contest.
In game two, with the Lynx trailing 1-0, sophomore

Samuels finished 3-for-3 with a double, a stolen base, and a RBI while Healy went 2-for-3 with a stolen base. Sophomore
Maggie Mitchell was 1-for-1 while Bresler finished 1-for-2 with a run scored.
