Marcus Moreland drove in the go-ahead two RBI single in the bottom of seventh while senior
Blake Glauben went to 3-0 on the season after another great outing as the No. 7/11 Rhodes College baseball team defeated Huntingdon in come-from-behind fashion, 4-3.
The Hawks put together some timely hits and took advantage of errors by the Lynx to build a 3-0 lead after three innings of play. However, Glauben began to settle in and limit a very good Huntingdon lineup going forward.
Rhodes struggled at the plate, but began to get some offense rolling in the bottom of the fifth as the bases were loaded thanks in part to a pair of singles from freshman

Bennett Notestine was hit by a pitch to score the first run of the game followed by an error by the Huntingdon pitcher to cut the deficit to 3-2. However, the Hawks escaped the bases loaded jam to hold on to the lead.
As Glauben continued to cruise, Rhodes was able to load the bases again after a pair of walks to sophomore
Levi Greenberg and junior
Ryan Olive and a single from Notestine. In stepped Moreland who battled at the plate and laced a two RBI single through the right side to score two and give Rhodes a 4-3 lead.
After a quick eighth, Glauben went out in the ninth for the complete game. Following a walk and an out on a sacfiice bunt, Glauben was pulled to a standing ovation as sophomore
Jack Mercer stepped in for a save opportunity with the tying run at second.
Mercer proceeded to strike out the next batter and got a ground out to end the game and give the Lynx a huge come-from-behind victory.
Glauben pitched 8.1 innings, allowing six hits and only one earned run while striking out nine batter. Mercer earned his second save of the season, allowing no hit with one strikeout. Zach McGrady took the loss for Huntingdon despite a great effort on the mound, striking out five on the day.
Five different Lynx had a hit on the afternoon with Moreland's coming at the opportune time. Junior
Jackson Lourie had the lone extra base hit, lacing a double down the left field line in the second innning.
Rhodes moves to 5-4 on the year and will return to action tomorrow afternoon at 11 AM as they conclude the Rhodes College Classic with a Top 10 matchup against No. 5/6 Webster University.
