MEMPHIS - Due to humid conditions in Mallory Gymnasium from the weather change, the contest between Rhodes and Kalamazoo men's basketball was called due to slick floor conditions.
The two teams were able to get one half end, but could see impending issues towards the end of the half with player safety. After finishing the half, every effort was made to try and get the floor cleared and ready to play for the second half, even from the players and fans.
However, the decision was made for the health and safety of the student-athletes to call the game and declare it a no contest. The Lynx foresee the floor to be ready for tomorrow's contests scheduled to begin at 12.
Kalamazoo will take on Monmouth tomorrow at 12 PM while Rhodes returns to take on Chicago tomorrow at 2 PM.
