DANVILLE, Ky. - For the second straight game, the Rhodes College volleyball team found themselves down 2-0, but the Lynx would fight back and force a fifth set against the Centre Colonels on the road. However, the Lynx fell just short to the Colonels as they dropped to 6-8 overall and 2-5 in SAA play.
Rhodes had a great day in their attack offense again, hitting .190 in the match including 56 kills to 29 errors. Centre hit .158 in the match with 36 kills and 18 errors on the afternoon.
Centre would use a pair of big rallies in the match to jump out to a 2-0 lead, winning set one 25-21 and set two 25-20.
Rhodes was dominant in set three, hitting .452 in the match as they had 16 kills to go with only two errors. The Lynx were down 12-7 early in the set, but eight straight points from Rhodes swung the momentum as they now led 15-12. From there, they outscored the Colonels 10-6 to win set three, 25-18.

Heather Antrim to force a fifth set.
The Lynx would take a 6-5 lead, but Centre would score six of the next eight points to go up 11-8. Centre would hold of Rhodes and close out the match with an 15-11 win on their home court.

Caroline Perlis each had three blocks in the contest to lead the Lynx.
Rhodes wraps up their four game road trip and prepares to return home on Wednesday evening to begin a three game home stand. The Lynx will battle current SAA-leader Hendrix at Mallory Gymnasium at 6 PM.
