CONWAY, Ark. - The Rhodes College volleyball team had upset on their mind on Friday evening as the sixth-seeded Lynx took a 2-0 lead over third-seed Berry College. The fourth set would be one of the most exciting sets, as each team battled back and forth, Rhodes looking to close the match while Berry looking to force a fifth set. The Lynx found their offensive flow again, earning 14 kills with six assists while hitting .182, but the Vikings were equally good with 16 kills to six errors and a .213 hitting percentage. With the match tied at 23, Berry got the next two points to clinch the set and force the fifth set.
From there, the Vikings held all of the momentum, jumping all over the Lynx while hitting .529 to avoid the upset and win the match with a 15-9 victory in the final set.
