Box Score ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Rhodes women's soccer team saw itself in its second overtime contest in two day, where they tied with Webster University on the road on Sunday, 0-0.
The tie is the first for the Lynx this season, where they now report a 2-1-1 record, while the Gorlocks move to 1-1-2 on the year.
The defensive battle ensued for the entirety of the contest. At the half, the Lynx had two shots to their counterparts four, while edging Webster in corner kicks by a margin of 3-2. Each net minder had recorded two saves by the half-way point.
After forcing two overtime periods, the Lynx had fired off five shots to the Gorlocks nine without avail. Rhodes edged Webster in corner kicks 9-3.
Earning 110 minutes in goal,
Chandler Kuhlman was a stopper for the Lynx, with four saves in the outing.
The Lynx will look to get back on the field on Sept. 13 when they face off against Maryville College in Maryville, Tenn. at 3 p.m.
