Rhodes uses late charge to push past Carthage, 2-1

Box Score MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Rhodes women's soccer team used a late rally to ring victorious over Carthage College on Wednesday, 2-1.
 
The Lynx improve to 4-1-1 on the year, while the Lady Red fall to 2-5.

Both teams fought hard defensively as the first half ended scoreless. At the half, the Lynx's had 13 shots to the Lady Red's four.

The second half was off to an early start with a goal at 56 minute mark by Carthage's Alexis Fahlbeck. The Lynx return the favor in the 78th minute with an assist from Sarah Rostamo to Hannah Selner for a goal.

The Lynx Cats took the lead two minutes later with a goal by Nicolette Glidden assisted by Hannah Selner.

Rhodes ends the game outshooting Cathage 33-8 with 15 of those shots being on goal. With 90 minutes in the goal Chandler Kuhlman ended the game with two saves.

The Lynx travel to Abilene, Texas on Sept. 20 to take on the University of Texas Dallas Comets at 3 p.m.
