Rhodes picks up win over Randolph Macon, 3-1

Box Score BALTIMORE, Md.- The Rhodes field hockey team picked up a 3-1 road win on Sunday, defeating Randolph Macon College, 3-1. 
 
Rhodes improves to 4-1 in the 2014 season while the Yellow Jackets fall to 0-5.
 
The Lynx got on the board first at the 20 minute mark when Kennedy Brislin scored off a penalty shot.
 
The Yellow Jackets evened things up three minutes later when Carrie Jacobs connected from the top of the circle. The 1-1 score would stand into the halftime break.
 
In the second half the Lynx tacked on two more goals, with Brislin netting her second score on the day at the 46 minute mark off a Christina DiFelice pass.
 
In the final four minutes of play Mackenzie Holland found the back of the cage to make the contests final score 3-1, in favor of the Lynx.
 
The Lynx outshot their counterparts by a count of 20-7 and were awarded more penalty corners by a tally of 14-3.
 
Rhodes next contest will be a conference opening matchup against Hendrix College on Sept. 20 in Memphis.
