Box Score CONWAY, Ark. – The Rhodes men's soccer team fell in a tough battle to Emory university on Saturday, 5-1.
The Lynx fall to 1-2-1 on the season while Eagles improve to 5-0-1 on the year.
The Lynx saw Emory post the first two scores with back to back goals at the 10 minute mark and the 26th minute of play.
Jason Crutcher scored a goal in the first half, in the 34th minute, when he connected on a direct free kick from 25 yards out. The Rhodes goal made the count 2-1 heading into the halftime break.
In the second half the Lynx couldn't keep Emory off the board for long, where the Eagles scored three unanswered goals to make the final count 5-1.

Riley Sheen played all 90 minutes for the Lynx where he grabbed 10 saves in goal.
The Lynx were outshot by their counterparts by a margin of 26-10, while Rhodes had more corner kick opportunities by a count of 3-1.
Rhodes will be back on the pitch on Sunday, Sept. 14 when they take on Fontbonne University at 12 p.m. in Conway, Ark.
