Box Score MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Rhodes Lynx fell in their conference-opening match on Friday to Hendrix College, 3-0.
 
Rhodes moves to 4-4 on the season and begins Southern Athletic Association play at 0-1, while Hendrix moves to 8-2 on the year and also opens conference play with a 1-0 record.
 
Rhodes fell in three straight sets by scores of 25-11, 25-7, 25-20.
 
The Lynx offense was led by Elasha Williams who swung for seven kills, followed by six kills from Catherine Grimes. Caryn Hawkins dished out 14 assists.
 
The defense was led by senior Maraia Tremarelli who sprawled for 10 digs, followed by Grimes who had eight.
 
Rhodes will continue in the Hendrix College Invitational on Sept. 13.
