MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Rhodes softball team posted two wins on Sunday over Rust College, 12-0 and 19-0.
Rhodes improves on the season to 16-12.
In the first contest
Chloe Hundman threw a shutout with eight strikeouts and zero walks in her five innings of work.
The Lynx posted 14 hits in the outing, paced by three hits from
Jessica Brown.
Erin Parker,
Danielle Smith,
Allycia Kleine and
Courtney Williams all added two hits apiece.
In the second matchup the Lynx continued their dominance, defeating the Bearcats 19-0.
Forrest Skelton got the start and the win in the one-hit shutout where she threw nine strikeouts and only two walks in her five innings of work.
Rhodes notched 27 hits in the outing, including four hits each from Williams, Smith,
Emily Cerrito and Hundman.
The Lynx will wrap up their home season on April 12-13 when they host conference rivals Sewanee. Rhodes will honor its senior members in a ceremony held prior to the first pitch on April 13.
