MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Lynx got off to a 2-0 start to kick off the season aided by big performances from Symone Daniels. Her efforts landed her as the Southern Athletic Association pick for the Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Daniels sparked the No. 21 ranked Rhodes Lynx to two wins in the Hendrix Tip-Off Classic in Conway, Ark. this past weekend.  Against Rust College the junior led the way with 18 points and nine rebounds as Rhodes defeated Rust 66-57. In the Lynx 71-50 win over MacMurray College, the Memphis, Tenn. native led all scorers with 22 points and grabbed a team high nine rebounds as Rhodes improved to 2-0 overall for the season.  For the weekend Daniels averaged 20 points and 9 rebounds per game. Daniels shot a team best (15-27) for 55.5% from the field.
 
Rhodes will be back in action at home against the University of Texas at Tyler on Nov. 21.
