MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Rhodes volleyball team was on the heels of Oglethorpe University on Saturday, but ultimately fell, 3-0.
Rhodes falls to 4-13 on the year and 0-6 in league play while the Stormy Petrels improve to 13-10 on the season and 2-5 in Southern Athletic Association play.
Rhodes was close behind the Petrels in all three sets, falling by scores of 25-18, 25-20 and 25-21.
Offensively, the Lynx were led by
Elasha Williams, who swung for 14 kills in the outing.
Lauren Johnson added six kills.
Caryn Hawkins led the team in assists with 26, while
Catherine Grimes chipped in three.
Defensively,
Maraia Tremarelli led the squad with 16 digs, followed by Williams who added 12 pickups.
The Lynx will be back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 8 as they host Hendrix College at 6 p.m.
