FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Rhodes field hockey couldn't overcome the Bridgewater Eagles as they fell 2-0 on Saturday.
 
The loss moves the Lynx back to 0-3 while Bridgewater moves to 3-0 on the season.
 
The two Eagles goals came in the first half from the sticks of Alenka Ferrufino at the 9 minute mark and Taylor Prillaman in the 32nd minute.
 
Rhodes outshot Bridgewater by a tally of 21-7 and beat them in the corner category by a margin of 8-2.
 
Two different goal keepers saw time for the Lynx. Kelly Whelan snagged two saves in 35 minutes, while Erin Bailey saved one shot in 35 minutes.
 
Rhodes will be back in action on Sunday Sept. 8 in another neutral site game as they take on Lynchburg College at Fredericksburg, Va. at noon.
