Rhodes dropped the first game of Sunday's two game set with Berry, 5-1 before taking game two, 2-1 in a thriller.
Game one saw the Lynx drop behind,1-0, before rallying to tie the score late. However the tie didn't hold long as the Vikings exploded for 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th to take the first game of Sunday's series, 5-1.
Game two saw a refocused Lynx squad take to the field. In the afternoon's second game, it was Rhodes that paced the scoring. The first runs of the contest came courtesy of Rhodes sole seniors when
Katie Stich singled to left field scoring
Megan Matthews to put the Lynx up 1-0. The following inning,
Courtney Williams blasted a solo shot to run the score to 2-0. Berry refused to go quietly as they responded for a run of their own in the 6th and had runners in scoring position in the 7th but were unable to score against Lynx starter,
Forrest Skelton.
Rhodes is back on the road next weekend as they continue conference play against Millsaps.
