The Rhodes baseball team fell to visiting Emory University this afternoon 8-3 at Stauffer Field. After six scoreless innings to start the game, Emory put up a single run in the top of the 7th, as Rhodes would answer with two in the bottom half of the 7th. Emory then took the lead for good as they erupted for seven runs in the top of the 8th. Senior RHP
Jackson Baker made his second start of the 2013 season working 7 innings, limiting the Emory offense to one run on three hits, while striking out nine. Baker threw 5.2 innings no hit baseball, before Emory catcher Jared Welch broke up the no hitter.
Rhodes and Emory will finish off the two game series as they return to action tomorrow at 1:00.
