CONWAY, Ark – Rhodes College put up an impresive 55 points, defeating Hendrix College 55-36 Saturday in Conway.
With the win, the Lynx improve to 7-2, including 4-1 in conference play. For Hendrix College the loss drops them to 3-6 on the season, 1-4 in conference play.
Rhodes was almost unstoppable on the ground, rushing for 347 yards and three touchdowns. Senior running back
Dane Wilson led the way for the Lynx with 22 carries for 149 yards, and two touchdowns. Sophomore
Kevin Vieira also got into the end zone, and chipped in 80 yards of his own.

Charles Schneider once again had a great game together, connecting for three touchdowns. Box finished with four passing touchdowns, and did not throw an interception.
Five different Lynx players scored for Rhodes today, including safety
Stanton Brown, who returned an interception for a touchdown. That is the third straight week the Rhodes has returned and interception for a touchdown, and the second straight week that Brown has had a pick six.
The Rhodes defense provided top-notch support, led by Senior
Stanton Brown. Brown added another interception after his pick-six, and also contributed seven tackles. Sophomore linebacker
Trey Hooper had 10 tackles for the Lynx, and freshman
John Dodd and Senior
Walker McWherter each contributed eight.
The Lynx are back in action next Saturday at 1 pm against conference leader Millsaps College at Crain Field in Memphis. The final home game of the 2013 season will also serve as Rhodes' Senior day.
