St. Louis, MO- After starting the game strong and earning a 1-0 lead the Lynx field hockey team fell to DePauw today by a score of 4-1. Rhodes'
Katie Faucher scored on a cross from
Kat Simpson on their first shot of the game just 14 minutes into the play. The rest of the game was dominated by the Tigers who secured 14 penalty corners and scored on 2 of them, both in the first half. DePauw then scored twice within a minute mid way through the second half to secure the win. Rhodes'
Corrinne Palmer and
Julia Price played well on the defensive end with midfielder
Sarah Ferguson also having a strong effort. The Lynx (1-2) begin conference play next weekend with games at Centre (Saturday at Noon) and at Transylvania (Sunday at Noon).
