The Rhodes Volleyball team opened up the 2012 season on the road at the Maryville Invitational.  The team faced off against Hanover College and Emory University.  

The team dropped their opening match to Hanover in four sets by the scores of 25-21, 19-25, 20-25, 14-25.  Right Side Lexie Krall led the Lynx with 13 kills.  Setter Michelle Quina paced the team with 26 assists and Freshman Libero Tasha Heller made her debut anchoring the team's defense with 25 digs.

In the team's final match of the day, the Lynx faced off against the 4th ranked Eagles.  Rhodes dropped the first set 14-25 before storming back to take the second set 25-11.  Unfortunately the Eagles claimed the next two sets by the scores of 23-25 and 25-17.  Middle Blocker Stephanie Renner paced the team with 6 kills and 5 blocks.
